Scott Slade is host of Atlanta’s Morning News, the number one rated radio program in metro Atlanta for over ten years in a row.  The show airs weekdays, 5:00-8:30 AM, on WSB-AM Radio 750.

Scott is a rare two-time winner of the prestigious National Association of Broadcasters “Marconi Award,” in 2004 as Best Large Market Radio Personality in America and just recently, he was named Best Major Market Radio Personality for 2006.  Atlanta’s Morning News with Scott Slade has won numerous awards since its inception in 1991, including the national Edward R. Murrow Award as Best Radio Newscast in the nation.

Scott has been with WSB Radio since 1984 as a producer, show host, and helicopter traffic reporter.  His background includes a career in all facets of media since 1970.  He was won numerous news, programming and advertising awards.  He is an Atlanta native.

 He took over host duties for Atlanta’s Morning News in January, 1991, with snow on the ground in Atlanta and war breaking out in the Persian Gulf.  The show has grown in audience ever since and at times has been the number-one rated news-talk program in the nation.

Scott initiated the WSB Radio Careathon to benefit the AFLAC Cancer Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 2001, raising nearly $5 million dollars in six years to combat children's’ cancers and blood disorders. He is a graduate of Georgia State University, where he serves on the Alumni Association Board of Directors; is a commercial airplane and helicopter pilot; and enjoys hiking, playing jazz saxophone, and horseback riding among his hobbies.  He lives in Suwanee with his wife and two daughters.
